Anvil Ironworks is a collaboration of artist blacksmiths who have been working together in Brighton for the last two years. Alan, Paul and Odile create decorative and functional metalwork ranging from sculpture, lighting and furniture to site-specific and architectural metalwork.
They have also given young people and work experience students the opportunity of hands-on involvement in the daily running of a busy workshop, and to develop their skills within a creative environment.
Work from the forge is regularly exhibited in local galleries and further afield. Twice annually Anvil Ironworks hold their popular Open House, giving people the chance to see live forging demonstrations and discuss any aspect of the craft.
