Paul Wells and Alan Williams are the two artist makers behind Anvil Ironworks, a small group of Brighton based blacksmiths. They formed from collaboratively working together over the past four years, and specialise in handcrafted contemporary and traditional metalwork. They create decorative and functional sculpture, lighting and furniture, site-specific and architectural pieces.
Anvil Ironworks promises to showcase fine and affordable works for ordering, commissioning and buying using a range of materials such as steel, copper, glass and stone, as well as found and recycled objects.
They have previously exhibited all over the UK including - Pelham House, Lewes, East Sussex; Fire and Iron, Leatherhead; Worthing Museum, West Sussex, The scarlet Hotel, Mawgan porth, Cornwall, Lochness, Scotland, to name but a few. Anvil Ironworks also have shown for the past four years during the Brighton Arts Festival as independants, & now as part of the Fiveways Artists Group.
This year, Anvil Ironworks will be exhibiting sculptural work in August at Chateau de Bosmelet in Auffay, France
